This week The Post newspaper features my interview with Sarah McNeill in the Inex (Interior/Exterior) section.

Sarah was interested in hearing about the Dulux Dialogue Tour Award. Earlier this year I travelled London and Stockholm as one of the winners. I was lucky enough to visit some of the most exciting design studios in the world.

I extended the trip with a visit to Copenhagen where I met with some of the leading architects and interior designers. It was fantastic.

The whole experience has fuelled my passion for architecture and good design. I’m particularly interested in finding ways to bring designers of every discipline together.

We can all be inspired and learn from each other. Together we can educate and encourage decision makers to see good design as a critical consideration in their projects.

There is a body of evidence to show how good design gives us more sustainable and liveable cities.

It boosts tourism by creating unique places and experiences. It draws people out into their communities by creating vibrant places to live and work.

On every level, good design benefits everybody. It was a pleasure to get to share these thoughts this with Post readers. It is something I promised myself I will do whenever I have the opportunity.

If you have a chance, you can read the interview with Sarah on page 48 of the December 19 issue of The Post.
