I am absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted in the Design Institute of Australia ‘Designers Australia Awards 2022’ for my work in the design of our ‘123 House’ project.

From the DIA award statement:

The unique awards, a first for the industry, identify Australia’s best designers and their studios, emphasising the designer and their processes as much as the outcome. The awards recognise the most nuanced design thinking across the categories Place, Use Interact and dissolve the traditional silos, reflecting a trend toward multi-disciplinary approaches and problem solving’.

The success of the project is due to the trust and enthusiasm of my clients and their family. Good things result from mutual trust and respect.

At a time in which the Perth suburb of Nedlands is being decimated with soulless and inappropriate infill density, I hope that this house on a subdivided corner site which has been designed out of respect not only for my clients, but respect for the greater community can prove that good design adds value.
