This dining table was designed to complement a house full of stories about memory of place for the owners who had owned and operated a former Ampol petrol station on the site of their new house for over thirty years.

The stained oak table is designed with the tabletop resembling the old Ampol sign logo graphic in its profile. While the turned timber legs are inspired by stacked car tyres. These simple design features that are not obvious until the house owners share the story of their dining table with guests, and suddenly they come alive. Just one of many emotional connections to place for the owners.
